Special Covid-19 Update
Resources
April 1 - corrections
A few corrections from my email yesterday and some additional resources...

  • The American Red Cross should be listed as a resource. They are actively collecting blood, and in fact collect 40% of the nation’s blood. They are now more in need of blood donations, since many drives have been cancelled. Click Here to find more information about the American Red Cross and to schedule a donation appointment.
  • The American Cancer Society has resources and information for cancer patients and their information center is open 24/7 for any help.
  • Our Digital Marketing webinar on Google Analytics on April 3 is free to all. See below to register.
  • The date of the Shelter-in-Place order should be March 31.
By now you have heard that the Shelter-in-Place order has been extended until May 3, with some clarifying language and some additional restrictions. Click Here to see the Press Release from Santa Clara County Public Health.

The Chamber is doing our best to make our website a trusted resource as we navigate our Shelter-in-Place and Covid-19. We have a Resources page for our businesses and an Open Businesses page for the community, which will keep you updated on restaurants, merchants and other services. Below are some specific sites we hope you'll find helpful.

Stay safe and healthy, and wash your hands! Let us know if we can help you.
Resources for Individuals
Resources for Businesses
The impact of this situation will affect all of you, some more than others. Below are some resources for you. One of the best sites we've found is the SBDC California site. It's listed first and consolidates much of the other information.

We have a page on our website with a list of these resources, As more information becomes available, we will update this page. Click Here

SBDC California  - Small Business Development Center - all forms and resources in one place!

Town of Los Gatos website
The Town of Los Gatos has compiled a very comprehensive page of Covid-19 messages and resources. It outlines how all the Town departments are functioning throughout this crisis. In addition, it has resources for businesses and individuals, as well as ways you can volunteer.

Patronize your local businesses!
The impact of this virus is devastating on our local economy. While you are home sheltering in place, please patronize your local businesses:
  • Get takeout or delivery at our local restaurants.
  • Support our amazing merchants by going to their online stores. Call or email the owner, many are doing virtual tours through their stores!
Our website is updated with all the restaurants (members & non-members) available for takeout & delivery, as well as member merchants to interact with remotely. And a list of our members that are "essential services" who are open.
#FeedTheNeed
#FEEDtheNEEDBAYAREA  was created by Alex Hult, owner of Flights Restaurants, who quickly joined forces with the Los Gatos Chamber or Commerce and Los Gatos Town Council to respond to our community’s economic and social crisis resulting from the COVID-19 virus.
#FEEDtheNEEDBAYAREA  is an community-driven emergency fund to provide immediate economic relief to the most vulnerable citizens in the Los Gatos area, including seniors, displaced employees working in Los Gatos businesses, and medical workers at our local hospitals.

With the help of your donations, our team of volunteers, neighboring restaurants, and community agencies will provide FREE hot meals to local non-profit agencies, local hospitals, shut-in senior citizens, and low-income families in the Los Gatos area.

#FEEDtheNEEDBAYAREA  allows Los Gatos restaurants keep a portion of their staff employed by preparing meals at a flat rate.

Every $10 donation provides 1 hot meal for someone in need!
Donations can also be mailed to Los Gatos Chamber Hospitality Fund, 10 Station Way, Los Gatos, CA 95030

Thank you for helping us #FeedTheNeed
