Corsair Building New 117,000-Square-Foot Distillery in Nashville
Corsair Distillery will build a 117,000-square-foot facility in The Nations neighbourhood in Nashville, enabling it to expand production capacity and warehousing for whiskey. The site will create 52 new jobs. (The Spirits Business)
Baltimore Spirits Co. to Open New Distillery Next Week
With a new name, the Baltimore Whiskey Co.—now known as Baltimore Spirits Co.—will open its new distillery inside Union Collective on Sept. 15. Founded in Remington in 2015 by friends Max Lents, Eli Breitburg-Smith and Ian Newton, the brand announced plans to move in June 2017 to the new manufacturing and retail complex in Medfield. After months of construction and moving, the company—known for its Epoch Rye whiskey, Shot Tower Gin and other spirits—is in the final steps of opening its doors, said Lents. (Baltimore Sun)
Denver's Mythology Urban Distillery Pub Officially Opens
Colorado may be prominent for its expansive beer scene, but craft distillers are also bringing a strong game with their selections of strong, refined spirits. Now, adventurous imbibers may discover Mythology, a new urban distillery pub located in LoHi’s Barrel Lofts complex. (Denver Post) 
Pennsylvania Pure Distilleries Launches BLY Silver Rum 105
Pennsylvania Pure Distilleries, distiller of Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka and BLY Silver Rum, has announced the launch of its newest spirit BLY Silver Rum 105. The new spirit will roll out nationally over the next few months and is currently available at the distillery store. (The Drinkable Globe) 
Five Years On, Jersey Artisan Distilling Shifts Focus to Sorghum Whiskey
In 2013, Fairfield, N.J.-based Jersey Artisan Distilling received the first full distilling license in New Jersey since Prohibition. Now, it's shifting its focus from rum to sorghum whiskey. (New Jersey Monthly)

Metallica—previously of  coffee and beer fame—forged a reputation as a seminal thrash metal band thanks to their unique sound—mixing imposing volumes and tempos with equally adept craftsmanship. Colorado's Old Elk Distillery Expands Distillery
Old Elk Distillery has experienced impressive distribution growth in 2018, expanding its presence from two states—Colorado and California—to 21 and counting. The Fort Collins, Colorado-based, spirits company is best known for its Old Elk Blended Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Dry Town Gin and Nooku Bourbon Cream. (BevNet)
