It's almost the beginning of the new school year! This means we are in need of parent volunteers. We are a parent community, committed to supporting the school with resources, time and effort. It would not be possible to do all that we do without your support.

Let's BOUNCE into the new school year!!

The Cossitt PTC invites you to join us for a Back To School Family Picnic to kick off a "Fun"tastic year at Cossitt School!

Pizza, hot dogs, chips, and beverages will be available for sale (cash only), or even just drop in for a FREE snow cone, generously provided by Tate's Old Fashioned Ice Cream Shop. All proceeds will be used to cover the cost of the party and to support the PTC. The fields and basketball court will be open so feel free to bring games and sports gear to play!

There will be music, bounce houses, face painting and lots of friends! Parking is available at Lyons Township South campus or behind Denning park in the neighborhood.

Social fundraisers are fun events planned by groups of Cossitt parents that happen throughout the year. They are a great way to meet new people and have fun in a smaller setting while raising money for the Cossitt PTC. All are welcome to host or attend! Events will take place at the start of the school year and run through mid-spring.

If you are interested in potentially hosting an event, have an idea for an event, or need details before deciding, please contact Amy Carlstead & Carrie Becker at [email protected]. A great slate of parties is in the works, but there is still time to add to it if you have ideas! The final slate of parties will be announced in late September with sign-ups beginning Friday, September 20th.

FIRST GRADE PARENT SOCIAL**

With so many new families joining Cossitt in first grade, we're welcoming first-grade parents to a social fundraiser at Steak + Vine on Wed, 9/18 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Cost is $20/pp, light apps will be served along with a cash bar. Sign-ups will begin on Friday, August 23rd and are open to the first 50 people to sign up. Thanks to our hosts: The Lane, Welch, Alfaro, Skerrett, and Collins-Maragh families and special thanks to Cossitt parents, Christina and Nick Gangas, owners of Steak + Vine, for the generous donation of space and appetizers.
