Calling All Parent Volunteers!
It's almost the beginning of the new school year! This means we are in need of parent volunteers. We are a parent community, committed to supporting the school with resources, time and effort. It would not be possible to do all that we do without your support.

Please click below to find several volunteer opportunities, along with a brief description. The respective committee chairs or PTC contacts will reach out to you with more information as the program date nears. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Vanessa Prinz.

Social Fundraiser Hosts & Inaugural First-Grade Parent Social
Social fundraisers are fun events planned by groups of Cossitt parents that happen throughout the year. They are a great way to meet new people and have fun in a smaller setting while raising money for the Cossitt PTC. All are welcome to host or attend! Events will take place at the start of the school year and run through mid-spring.

If you are interested in potentially hosting an event, have an idea for an event, or need details before deciding, please contact Amy Carlstead & Carrie Becker at A great slate of parties is in the works, but there is still time to add to it if you have ideas! The final slate of parties will be announced in late September with sign-ups beginning Friday, September 20th.

With so many new families joining Cossitt in first grade, we're welcoming first-grade parents to a social fundraiser at Steak + Vine on Wed, 9/18 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Cost is $20/pp, light apps will be served along with a cash bar. Sign-ups will begin on Friday, August 23rd and are open to the first 50 people to sign up. Thanks to our hosts: The Lane, Welch, Alfaro, Skerrett, and Collins-Maragh families and special thanks to Cossitt parents, Christina and Nick Gangas, owners of Steak + Vine, for the generous donation of space and appetizers.

At the Bike Rodeo, each child will register his/her bike with the La Grange Police Department and perform a series of bicycle safety tests. Children wishing to ride their bikes to school need to participate in the Bike Rodeo only once at Cossitt.

selfie_dogs.jpg This summer our main office has been undergoing a transformation! One of the additions is a display board in the lobby area. We're looking for photos of Cossitt students for the display. We'd love to have photos of students showing their school spirit this summer or on vacation. If you have pictures of your student you'd like to display, email photos to , stop in the office to add your photos, or send to school during the first week in an envelope marked "Cossitt PTC photos". If you submit photos of groups, please make sure that all parents have given permission for them to be displayed. If you're still planning a camp or vacation, pack your spiritwear! Thank you!
