Service Line Reporting
Service Line Reporting is one of the most requested features by CostFlex Users. Historically, clients would have to pass a service line to the CostFlex database from their main systems, however many did not have one to pass.

Several years ago, from client input, CostFlex added the automatic service line assignment tool so end users can add criteria to their own user defined Service Lines and each patient will then be automatically assigned a service line based on the patient's demographics and /or charge codes (Example:  if a patient has DRG 536 OR CPT codes in the range of 26990-27299, then classify the patient as “Hip Surgery” ). Once a patient is assigned a service line, the patient can be both selected by that service line for reporting, as well as aggregated on reports by the Service Line.
We are having a "Share The Knowledge" session at the 2020 CostFlex User Group in Pensacola Beach, Florida.

Even if you are unable to attend the User Group Conference this year, we hope you will still help your User Group. This year's attendees will vote on a "Share The Knowledge" winner who will have free registration to next year's User Group Conference (You don't have to be present to win).

We are asking all clients to submit one or more success stories or explanations of an internal process that is working well with the CostFlex tools.

There is not a special format for this submission, an email story or something informally written in Word is great.

As an incentive, everyone that emails a submission will receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card as well as a printed copy of the User Group Session Guide (or additional copy if already attending the Conference).

The CostFlex staff is working hard to put together a successful seminar and if you could get your story over to us ASAP, it would help!

Is your department understaffed?
As most clients are aware, CostFlex offers consulting services for our clients to utilize if needed (i.e. on-site training, or re-installation / re-interviews of department heads).

One of the newer services that CostFlex offers is the full Cost Accounting role where a highly trained Cost Accountant will run your system for you, from doing the monthly / daily downloads, running the costs, auditing data to tying the costs back to your financials.

Some of the hospitals that are utilizing this service either don’t have a person with the right skill set to be a cost accountant, or need to leverage CostFlex to handle the heavy lifting of running the costs to free up their staff for more important analytical work. If you have a need of out-sourcing your cost accounting function, or would like to learn more, please give us a call.
