Mira Costa’s West field is ready for action!
The $5 million artificial turf field project, jointly funded by MBX Foundation and the Manhattan Beach Unified School District, opened this weekend hosting the Costa Band Rehearse-a-thonon Saturday and youth soccer and flag football games on Sunday.
A phenomenal week for Mira Costa Volleyball!
Coming off of a solid weekend tournament in Las Vegas, on Tuesday all three teams swept Peninsula, with Varsity winning 3-0. In addition to the match win, the Varsity team had substantial growth in the practice gym, as well as two workout sessions with their trainer, Leslie Cordova-Trujillo.

After the Tuesday Peninsula match, the JV and Frosh/Soph teams had a quick turnaround to prepare for the Dave Mohs JV Tournament at Edison High School in Huntington Beach. Read more
Costa Boys Beach Sits Atop the Bay League Standings
The Mira Costa Boys Beach Volleyball team went undefeated in the last two weeks of league play, beating Redondo, Palos Verdes, West Torrance, and Palisades Charter.
On September 16, the team faced Redondo and PV. On Court 1, Seniors Dane Johnson and Bobby Barkley lost in a close battle against Redondo. The teams of junior Thomas Kretschmer and sophomore Sam Collins and junior Lauch Farris and sophomore Jack Walmer won on their courts, giving Costa the victory.
Mustangs Football find their footing against solid West Torrance Team!
On Friday Mira Costa got their first win over the West High Warriors with a 35 - 6 victory. The defense played a solid game with the defensive line, led by Noseguard Jonah Tavai, getting a good push up front which allowed Outside Linebackers Koda Thormodsgaard and Easton Gale to put a lot of pressure on the Warrior’s QB. Costa Band performs at first home football game!

Currently the MCHS Marching Band and Colorguard are in the mode of practice, practice, practice as they prepare their 2017 Field Show "Outside the Bachs". The Band cheered on Costa’s Football team as they played in El Segundo and also performed the first part of their show during half time at the first home game this past Friday. Read More
Local runners set personal bests at Woodbridge Cross Country Classic!

Costa Cross Country competed in the Woodbridge Invitational last weekend and placed well among some of the top teams in the state!
Some highlights include our varsity girls placing 11th as a team, senior Xavier Court running the 9th fastest time of the day and the senior boys team placing winning their team race.
Girls Basketball looks ahead!
Mira Costa Girls Basketball Teams are set for the Winter! They have worked out on the beach and are playing Fall Season basketball games. Players are looking forward to the upcoming season with all the teams. Look for fundraising announcements soon!
Choir takes pride in assisting with MB Hometown 10K Run
The Mira Costa Choirs' annual participation in the Manhattan Beach 10K Run is one of the highlights of the year. All four choirs participate to help the race run smoothly. Read more
Boys Water Polo Varsity team starts off 2017 season
with a 3-0 Bay League Record!
The Boys Water Polo Varsity team has started off the 2017 season with a 3-0 Bay League record, fiercely coached by Jon Reichardt and Dave Halushka. In addition to Costa, the teams in the Bay League are Peninsula, Palos Verdes, West and Redondo Beach. Read more
Mira Costa water polo alum, Jordan Raney, captures fifth medal with Team USA
Going into her senior year at Stanford, Mira Costa alum Jordan Raney capped off a successful four-month run winning her fifth gold medal with Team USA. Read more
JV Girls Golf player,
Lauren Daniels, gets a hole-in-one!

The girl's golf team is off to a great start.  JV player, Lauren Daniels, got a hole-in-one at Terranea Golf course. The JV team went on to beat Palos Verdes. Congratulations Lauren!
