Black Lives Matter: Restoring My African Soul
Saturday, August 8 at 7:00pm
This 5-part monthly series of consciousness-raising events and conversations with Robin and Jim Miller will kick off on Saturday, August 8 at 7pm with a presentation of “Restoring My African Soul,” a multi-media performance addressing an artist’s struggle from black shame to African-American pride through art and poetry.
Robin and Jim, in collaboration with Cotuit Center for the Arts, will host four future events, one each month through the end of the year with a goal of engaging the local community in conversations and cultural experiences surrounding the specific challenges of racial diversity and inclusion on the Cape.
Due to Covid-19, seating will be limited. Events may be recorded and streamed at a later date. CCftA follows all safety protocols related to Covid-19 and may be viewed on our website.

In The Galleries—Opening Saturday
|

Artist Jane Lincoln’s lifelong exploration of color converges with her outrage over the epidemic of gun violence in “More than ENOUGH.” The exhibition features several series of paintings, prints, and drawings based on color interaction; the forty-one works in her series “ENOUGH,” depicting mass shootings in the United States; her new series “Quarantine Diary,” which chronicles the impact of Covid-19 on our lives; and even "More."
Exhibit will be on display August 8–September 19. No public opening reception.
Gallery admission is free during Gallery hours and by appointment.
Gallery hours: Wed–Sat, 10am–4pm

View Highlights from Past Productions
|
|
While the Center is closed, executive director David Kuehn will be uploading video clips of some of his favorite moments from past productions on the main stage. We realize the sound and video quality is not great—we record our performances for archival and educational purposes only—but it will give you a chance to come back regularly, check out some of the numbers from shows you saw and loved in the past, or that you missed. You're welcome!

Visit our Little Free Pantry and 'Art Is...' Chalk Wall
|
In an effort to help our neighbors affected by the COVID-19 crisis, the Center's Little Free Library has been converted into a Little Free Pantry. Take what you need, and if you can, please donate what you can spare. While you're at it, you can leave a message on our 'Art Is...' chalk wall, letting everyone know how important art is to you! Both are located just to the right of the main theater building.
