Virtual Wine & Music Wednesday, LIVE on Zoom
Wednesday, May 6, 5:00pm–6:00pm
We may not be able to gather together in person, but we can share a tune, a glass of wine, a wave, and a smile. Please join Executive Director David Kuehn for a virtual Wine and Music Wednesday tonight from 5 to 6pm. Just join via Zoom by clicking the link below. We have increased our Zoom capacity, so there should be plenty of room! Tonight's virtual Wine & Music Wednesday is sponsored by
Joyce Landscaping
and features
Tedi Marsh
as our musical guest.

CCftA Cocktail Corner with Ira: The Paloma Cocktail
|
With Cinco de Mayo celebrations going on this week I decided to feature
The Paloma
, a cocktail that originated in Mexico and made with Mexico’s most popular liquor, Tequila.
You will need:
- 1 large Red or Pink Grapefruit
- 1½ oz of 100% Blue Agave tequila Blanco or Resposado
- 1 tbl. of agave nectar
- Fresh lime
- Club soda or Seltzer
Juice the grapefruit, squeezing it into a bowl and strain, if you like the pulp, leave it in. The grapefruit should yield ¾ cups. Add the Agave nectar to the juice. Cut the lime in half and squeeze half of the lime into the mix. Stir all ingredients. Fill a highball glass with ice, and add the tequila. Take the grapefruit mixture, pour it into the glass, top with soda water and stir. For those who prefer a mock-tail, leave out the tequila. Enjoy!

We are both delighted and saddened to announce that our wonderful Director of Development for the past four years, Tracy LaBonte, has taken on an exciting new position outside of CCftA. Tracy has been a beloved fixture at the Center for many years and will always be the life of the party! Please join us in congratulating Tracy and wishing her the best in all her future endeavors.

Through Sunday, May 10, ArtWeek Massachusetts will feature hundreds of opportunities to tune in for special events taking place throughout the Commonwealth. Cotuit Center for the Arts will be participating, and we hope you'll take an opportunity to do a little cultural traveling from the comfort of your home.

The Gallery is awash with BLUES: artworks inspired by blues music, blue color, or blue mood…the spectrum is as wide as the creativity of the artists. More than 125 works of art were hung just before the COVID-19 crisis. When our doors open, we look forward to welcoming the public. Meanwhile you may view the works of art by visiting our Facebook gallery by clicking the link below.

View Highlights from Past Productions
|
|
While the Center is closed, executive director David Kuehn will be uploading video clips of some of his favorite moments from past productions on the main stage.
We realize the sound and video quality is not great - we record our performances for archival and educational purposes only -
but it will give you a chance to come back regularly, check out some of the numbers from shows you saw and loved in the past, or that you missed. You're welcome!

Though our doors are closed for the time being, in an effort to help our neighbors affected by the COVID-19 crisis, the Center's
Little Free Library
has been converted into a Little Free Pantry. Take what you need, and if you can, please donate what you can spare! And while you're at it, you can leave a message on our chalk wall, letting everyone know how important art is to you! Bring your own chalk or use ours
—
but please come. It's easy to follow social distancing guidelines. The library is located just to the right of the main theater building.
