Earn A Transfer Degree In Business Administration Or Child Development In Just Two Years
Starting this Fall Semester, students can complete a degree with a transfer guarantee in two years in Business Administration (AS-T) and Early Childhood Education (AS-T). LACCD Update: Welcome Black Student Kickoff Set For September 9
The African American Outreach Initiative (AAOI) of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) will host its Welcome Black Student Kickoff on September 9 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. online. The live, online event will feature student speakers, college counselor assistance, and strategic navigation tools for students to succeed at their local campus. New and continuing students are invited to participate. 
LACCD Update: Board Of Trustees To Vote On 2020-21 Budget
LACCD Board of Trustees will vote on the district's 2020-21 proposed budget at its September 2 meeting. The development of the budget, which has been greatly impacted by COVID-19, has been an evolving process beginning with Governor Gavin Newsom’s proposed State Budget in January 2020 and the State Budget Development through June 2020. 
LACCD Update: Record Number Of Tech Devices Ordered For Students
LACCD is moving forward with one of the single-largest bulk orders of laptop-style devices in the history of California's community college education system to help meet the technology needs of its students, including students at LASC, to complete lessons in remote learning platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic.
State Update: Chancellor Oakley Answers Student Questions
Students were able to get answers to their questions during a town hall with state Chancellor Eloy Oakley on August 18. Two overarching themes emerged in Oakley’s responses: Community colleges need more funding to meet students’ needs, and students need to voice their concerns with local administration and governing boards.
