Lakin Center To Serve As In-Person Voting Center
Los Angeles Southwest College's (LASC) Lakin Center is serving as an in-person voting center. Voters will be able to cast their ballots in-person or drop-off their mail-in ballots from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Monday, November 2, and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.

LASC Student The Focus Of Art Gallery Exhibition
LASC's Art Gallery presented “I’m Only Dreaming,” a solo exhibition by artist Chris Garcia, to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month. Chris, who is in his final year studying at LASC, is an interdisciplinary artist working in a variety of media and symbolism, dream imagery and portraits, including self-portrait and of Native American and Meso-American people.

State Update: California Community Colleges Receives $100M To Help Students
The Jay Pritzker Foundation has made an unprecedented donation — the largest ever to a community college system in the country — a 20-year, $100 million pledge to provide scholarships to California students facing unexpected financial hardships.

  • November 2: 2021 Winter Session priority registration for students who have completed 15-29 units
  • November 4: 2021 Winter Session priority registration for students who have completed 1-14 units
  • November 6: 2021 Winter Session priority registration for students who have completed zero units
  • November 9: 2021 Winter Session registration starts for students who lost priority
  • November 11: Veteran's Day. No classes
  • November 16: 2021 Winter Session registration starts for K-12 special admits
  • November 26-27: Thanksgiving. No classes.
  • November 28-29: Non-Instruction Say. No classes.
