Dear Friends,
Everyone is experiencing some personal struggle right now. The global pandemic has impacted all our lives because of the stress involved in the practical, social, and psychological adjustments it requires. With each day that passes, the far-reaching economic implications of Coronavirus become increasingly apparent and the strain on families all around us mounts. The COVID-19 crisis has certainly tested us as professionals, parents, educators, and as humans.
It goes without saying, this year has been filled with an assortment of unknowns. While these unknowns have most definitely presented feelings of fear; they have also challenged us to join together in new and creative ways. If we search for a silver lining, we must note that crisis moments also present opportunity: more sophisticated and flexible use of technology, a revived appreciation for nature, the outdoors, and life’s other simple pleasures, including more time with our family, both two and four-legged.
We at Clay Humane had to adapt to sustain through the trials of Coronavirus. We responded to the pandemic by creating efficient curbside services so the people and pets we serve have uninterrupted access to affordable and essential veterinary care – even during a pandemic. This service is, clearly, a vital resource in our community, particularly during this ongoing period of economic hardship, as we consistently treat more than 400 animals weekly. If we closed our doors now, many of our furry and feathered friends would, undoubtedly, suffer.
