February : American Heart Month

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in America.

By learning the subtle symptoms, your personal risks, and some basic lifestyle changes, you can greatly impact your heart health!

Are you at risk for heart disease?

A heart attack is often referred to as the "silent killer" because you may not experience symptoms, or they may seem so minor that you don't recognize them in time. But if you remain aware of possible symptoms, you can increase your chances of survival.

Here are the most common symptoms:
  • Chest Pain
  • Pressure, squeezing, fullness in the chest
  • Pain that lasts for more than a few minutes
  • Chest discomfort that comes and goes
  • May feel like bad indigestion or a tight band around your chest, or a heavy load is on your chest
  • Pain that radiates to your jaws, neck, shoulder, teeth, arms, back, or abdomen

Are you at a higher risk for developing heart disease?
