Grand Knight’s Report
Worthy Brother Knights,

I hope you and your family’s all had a very Happy Thanksgiving! The holidays are among us and please everyone stay well and safe during these times.

November was a good month. We had our second on-line order pick up meal with our BBQ Pork Dinner. We sold 185 dinners and had a profit of $1150. Thank you to all the Knights that helped out. We plan on having another on-line dinner for Super Bowl that will be on Sunday February 7th. More to come on that.

Our Monastery Sales continue to do well. As of this writing we have sales over $2000. Thank you to BK David Werve for his Chairing this great cause!
The annual SJN School Santa Clause breakfast and pictures, that was to be Saturday December 5th has been cancelled this year due to the rise in COVID in Gwinnett County.

I plan to have our usual Officers Meeting on Monday December 7th, All Knights are welcome to attend, and also our Memberships Meeting on Monday December 14th. Our meetings continue to go well, with masks being worn, and everyone socially distanced.

Many of us are truly blessed with all that we have. But we need to remember those among us that are less fortunate due to what ever circumstances they may be going through, and continue to help them when we can.

I wish all you Brother Knights and your families a blessed Holiday season.

Vivat Jesus,

Mark Dallas

Program Director Highlights
There are many opportunities for service at the Sisters of the Visitation convent in Snellville with numerous facility and groundskeeping projects needing help. The DGK will put together a list and description of the projects and provide that along with a point of contact for the convent so that Knights can select projects and find out when they can come to offer service. We have done service work there in the past, and with 27 acres and large building there is virtually a continuous list of projects needing attention.
50/50 Drawing
DGK Glenn Klein won the 50/50.
Knight of the Month - BK John Mangano for chairing the Pulled Pork dinner.

New Business

David Werve reported that on-line Monastery sales are now underway: $200 of sales so far.

The GK talked with SJN Principal Dr. Broom. The school intends to have pictures with Santa for the children Saturday, December 5. The Council will not be providing Santa or a photographer this year, and due to Covid there will be no breakfast served. We do plan to have Knights pass out zip lock bags with some small snack to be determined. The DGK will coordinate and will be looking for volunteers to help.

This year the St. Vincent DePaul Angel Tree Program will be different due to Covid. Homes will not be visited with gifts and food, but Parish ministries are asked to contribute money for gift cards that will be given to families. The Council’s plan will be for Knights wishing to contribute to write checks to Treasurer PGK Steve Brischler, and Steve will write a check (or checks) to SVDP so that the Council will get credit for the donations. Knights are asked to note on their checks that the money is for the SVDP Angel Tree Program.

The GK reported that to help new event chairmen, an Event Chairman Guide is being prepared. The guide will aid event chairmen in planning their events to make sure all steps for a successful event are covered.

The GK reported that Council 7923 is still scheduled to host the State Meeting, January 8, 2021 in Reynolds Hall.

Treasurer Steve Brischler has ordered a first aid kit for the Neumann Center. It will likely go in the kitchen. When the kit gets here, we will look and determine if we want to get another for our cage in Reynolds Hall.

The next fund-raising event planned will be on Super Bowl Sunday, February 7. Menu suggestions included pork or chicken wing dinners and will be decided later.
