Grand Knight's Report

Brother Knights,

October 2025 might be over but let us remember this historic month. On Sunday, October 5th, we held our Sunday Breakfast, and it benefited the Respect Life Ministry. It was another successful undertaking and thank you to all the Brother Knights who helped and members of the Respect Life Ministry who came out to help.

At our membership meeting on October 13th, we voted on one tabled motion and that was to move $2,200 from the KofC investment account to the Charitable Budget Expense Budget. The tabled motion of donating additional $2,200 to the Church towards the canopy project passed The $2,200 went towards the installation of lighting, ceiling fan and an outdoor electrical outlet for the newly built canopy. At our next membership meeting on November 10th, SJN sponsored Scout Troop will join us for the Flag Retirement Ceremony and we will serve hot dogs and chili dogs for dinner after the annual ceremony.

On Saturday, October 18th St. John Neumann held their Annual Fall Festival. It was a nice event. The Knights served hot dogs and hamburgers during the festival. Hispanic and Filipino Style Food was served too. There was a petting zoo, soccer competition, arts & crafts and line dancing and Latin style dancing as well. It was a very nice Fall Festival. Looking ahead, the Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Sunday Breakfast on Sunday, November 2nd and it will benefit the Bereavement Ministry. Once again, if you’re Brother Knight reading this I encourage you to volunteer when you can. Also, if you’re reading this I encourage you to just attend more of our events or meetings. Remember your attendance alone does help the Parish Community or a Specific Ministry. So come on down to help or just attend one of the Knight’s Events. May God Bless you All!

That concludes my report.

Vivat Iesu,

GK Brian Jeffers

Lecturers Report

October Lecturers Report from BK David Werve

Suppress interior noise - God created your soul silent and keeps it inviolate at baptism. He filled it with Himself, nothing other than Himself. It is later, little by little that the world bursts in to that the world. Noise invades, the soft voice of God. Since then the racket amplifies itself. Return to your baptismal silence, my brother!

Nose has three generators: memories, curiosity, and worries. Paralyze their actions.

I am a sinner Every day I find myself doing things that are self-destructive and that make me a lesser person. I say things that hurt others, or I hurt others things by not saying things. When that happens you can be sure the things I am thinking are giving birth to those words, and deviate from the natural order and separate me from the natural order and separate me from the peace of knowing I am contributing positively to the common good of the unfolding universe.
