Grand Knight’s Report
Worthy Brother Knights,

I would like to thank the Council and especially Past Grand Knight Glenn Klein for working so hard to meet all the Fraternal Goals of our Council determined by the State and Supreme Councils and by us. Glenn turned out to be one of the best Grand Knights in my twenty-eight years as a Knight.

We met our quotas and paid our bills and fulfilled our budgeted donations to the Church and Charities. During this past Fraternal Year we gave $21,000 to the Church and $ 8,200 to various charities and our proposal for state support was selected and the Knights of Columbus Charities of Georgia gave $7,000 to SMILE in addition to our financial support.

Thanks to Houston Feaster for all he did for SMILE. There was ample reason to rename the Neumann Center in his honor.

As for the Church, I would like to thank Father Sunny as he has been a great supporter of our Order and our Parish events in this last year.

As we look forward to the coming Fraternal year, I ask that we all pull together on the rope as we did this past year. I ask no more of you except for one thing. Let us all be as welcoming as we can be to our new members and work toward getting them involved at events and in pursuing office. It is time for a new generation to take the reins of our Council. It is my hope that my term as Grand Knight will be a transition to that new generation.

Lastly, we need a Knight or two to step up as Membership Director(s). If there were two Co-Directors it would lighten the load. But, a Council that is not growing is dying. Again thanks to Glenn Klein for his leadership in meeting our growth goals in this past Fraternal year.

Vivat Jesu

Lecturer's Reflections
BK David Werve provided an excerpt from the “The Catechism of the Catholic Church, 268-269” and BK Brian Jeffers read:

“Of all the divine attributes, only God’s omnipotence is named in the Creed: to confess this power has great bearing on our lives. We believe that his might is universal, for God who created everything also rules everything and can do everything. God’s power is loving, for he is our Father, and mysterious, for only faith can discern it when it ‘is made perfect in weakness.’ The Holy Scriptures repeatedly confess the universal power of God. He is called the ‘Mighty One of Jacob,’ the ‘Lord of hosts,’ the ‘strong and mighty’ one.
If God is almighty ‘in heaven and on earth,’ it is because he made them. Nothing is impossible with God, who disposes his works according to his will. He is the Lord of the universe, whose order he established and which remains wholly subject to him and at his disposal. He is master of history, governing hearts and events in keeping with his will: ‘It is always in your power to show great strength, and who can withstand the strength of your arm?'”
