Grand Knight's Report
Dear Brother Knights,

This is GK Brian Jeffers and this is my monthly report. August was another busy month, I held another round of meetings as Grand Knight and during the meetings, we planned and organized for upcoming dinners and events. On a special note, during the meeting, the Knights voted to donate $500 to help those who were affected by the devastating Maui wildfires. I feel proud and blessed to be part of an organization that is willing to be so charitable at the drop of a hat.

On Sunday, August 6th we had our Sunday Breakfast to benefit the Marti McLeer Preschool Scholarship Program. It was one of our most successful breakfasts of the year and kudos to the Knights who volunteered to help make this another success. Next on Saturday, August 19th, the Knights held a Lasagna Dinner. This was another successful dinner hosted by our Council. All the Parishioners who came enjoyed a GIGANTIC portion of Lasagna as well as Bill & Mary’s world-famous garlic bread. Then on Friday, August 25th BK Joe Molyson hosted Bunko Night. It was another fun-filled night and the next Bunko night will be held on Friday, September 29th.
Looking ahead, our Sunday Breakfast will be held on September 10th and it will benefit the Special Needs Ministry. The Knights will also be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs at the Parish Fall Festival on Saturday, September 23rd. We will also be selling take-home containers of smoked pulled pork separately and the sale of those will solely benefit our Council.

Finally, I would like to thank God for being in Council 7923 and aligning me with a great group of men. For the August breakfast, it looked as though I could’ve been short on help and the success of the Lasagna Dinner was anyone’s guess. Thankfully both events worked out well because we have a great Council and we have a great organization of men who are willing to volunteer and do good when called upon. Thank you, all Brother Knights. Once more, I would encourage more Brother Knights to come to our meetings to be informed and consider participating in one of our many events. Our events are the best opportunity to meet other Brother Knights and make friends. You’ll also get to know other Parishioners and you’ll feel more connected to our Church when you participate. You’ll be glad you came. May God bless you all.

That concludes my report.

Vivat Iesu,

GK Brian Jeffers

Good of the Order as presented by BK David Werve at the last business meeting:
