Grand Knight's Report
Dear Brother Knights,

This is GK Brian Jeffers and this is my monthly report. September was another eventful month. First, on September 10th we had our Sunday Breakfast to benefit the Special Needs Ministry. It was a well-attended breakfast and the Special Needs Ministry benefitted. It was also the first breakfast that we made free of charge for workers. On September 11th, our membership meeting was held and WT Steve Brischler grilled made-to-order hamburgers, hot dogs, and bratwurst before the meeting. Our Council serves good meals before our meetings and I would invite all Brother Knights to our meetings for a nice dinner and stay for the meeting to be informed about Council activities and hear a spiritual message from our Lecturer.

On Saturday, September 23rd, St. John Neumann held the Parish Festival. It was a well-attended festival. There was a petting zoo, ministry expos, and great food. The Knights sold hamburgers, hot dogs, and beer. The Knights also sold one-pound containers of smoked pulled pork. Our Council continued our recruiting efforts during the festival and we met several fine men. Hopefully, we will be able to bring them on board as Brother Knights.
Looking ahead, our Sunday Breakfast will be held on October 1st and it will benefit the Respect Life Ministry. Then on Saturday, October 14th, the Knights will be hosting Oktoberfest from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm and roasted pork loin will be the main entrée. On Saturday, November 11th, St. John Neumann will be hosting a Fourth Degree Exemplification. This is a great opportunity for Third Degree Knights in our Council to advance to the Fourth Degree without having to travel to another part of Georgia.

Finally, I want to thank PGN Mike MacFarlane, for chairing the Parish Festival and I want to extend my thanks to all the Brother Knights who came out to help. In all my reports, I emphasize the importance and satisfaction you feel when volunteering at one of our events. This report will be no exception. When you volunteer at our events, you’ll feel good and leave the event with the satisfaction of a job well done. Therefore, consider volunteering at one of our breakfasts or helping at the upcoming Oktoberfest to showcase your chef skills. When you volunteer, you’ll feel closer to the Church too. May God bless you all.

That concludes my report.

Vivat Jesu,

GK Brian Jeffers
