Grand Knight's Report

Brother Knights,

January 2025 is now history but let us look back. On Sunday, January 5th, we had our Sunday breakfast and it benefitted SJN Scout Troop 522. It was another successful breakfast and I want to thank the Scouts for coming out to help. The next breakfast will be on Sunday, February 2nd, and it will benefit the Grounds Beautification Ministry.

On Saturday, January 18th we held the North Georgia State Knights Meeting. This is also a fundraiser for our Council because we serve lunch and sell raffle tickets. This was a successful fundraiser and it will help us with future charitable endeavors. I would like to thank all those who came out to help to prepare lunch and make this a successful event. During the meeting we were introduced to the candidates for State Warden. They all took questions from fellow Knights on what they would like to accomplish if they were elected. They were all good candidates and fine Brother Knights.

Looking ahead, the Knights will be turning on our smoker and smoking Pulled Pork to be picked up before the Super Bowl. This is a pre-sale event only. The Knights Mass will be on Sunday, February 9th at 8:30 am and I would like to see us have a good turnout for this Mass and perhaps turn a few heads from our fellow Parishioners. Also, during February we will be planning all month for our famous Lenten Fish Fry Dinners so if you are reading this, please let me or one of the Officers know how we can make this upcoming Lenten Fish Season even better. Thank you and God Bless you All.

That concludes my report.

Vivat Iesu,

GK Brian Jeffers
