Volume 17 | December 2018
Grand Knight’s Report
Worthy Brother Knights,

December is the month as you know that we celebrate the anticipation and the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The Advent wreathe lighting this first Sunday begins the count down and everyone concentrates on the season and readiness. The St. John Neumann congregation is accustomed to seeing the Knight of Columbus host a breakfast for the entire family the first Sunday of every month but the one in December is Always Special.

We also host the pancake/sausage breakfast on Saturday December 8th in partnership with St. John Neumann Regional Catholic School faculty, to celebrate the Family with Tom Marasco, our Santa and capturing the moment with a family picture. This Breakfast with Santa event also has some other benefits; David Werve, Randy McCormack and other Brother Knights will finish selling the Holy Spirit Monastery baked goods which is approaching record sales!

Dr. Julie Broom and her staff have a unique opportunity to attract future students to the school and we can attract fathers, grandfathers and single men to join our council. Mark Dallas will be prepared to capitalize! We also can attract people to our St. John Neumann parish when they experience the love that's shared at this event.
Then comes the highlight of the year; Christmas Mass that brings our families together and we strengthen our faith celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

Following Christmas before the year ends, we will meet Sunday, December 30th to pray the rosary at 8:00 AM in the chapel and worship together at the 8:30 am mass in the church. This is a Great way to end the year to give Thanks for our Families and for Strength to overcome the challenges along with missing our loved ones.

Finally,

Thank You All for your prayers, leadership, contributions and participation that strengthen our Brotherhood.
Thank you to our Chairmen; Hugh Gardiner, Frank Swider, Michael MacFarlane, and David Werve for organizing our December events.

Thank you Tom Marasco, Houston Feaster and Jim McHugh for Leading our Angel Tree Program helping three families in need this Christmas.

Thank you Father Sunny and Father Abel for your encouragement and support of our council; as we have grown together in our faith encompassing Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.

Vivat Jesus,
Mark Davis
