Grand Knight's Report

Brother Knights,

February 2025 is now in the hall of records. But let’s look back. On Sunday, February 2nd, we had our Sunday breakfast and it benefitted The Grounds Beautification Ministry. It was a successful breakfast and I want to thank all the Knights for coming out to help. The next breakfast will be on Sunday, March 2nd, and it will benefit the Flame of Love Ministry.

On the weekend of Saturday, February 8th-9th we distributed pre-sold pulled pork for the Super Bowl smoker event. This year’s Super Bowl was forgettable but our Council’s pulled pork was legendary. I want to thank all the Knights who took their time to smoke the pork and those who came to pull and package it. Great job guys. I hope to do more events like this in the future. During the February meetings, we planned for the upcoming Lenten Fish Fry Dinners. Brother Knights if you are reading this, please consider signing up to help and answer the call when I send an email or leave a calling post message.

On Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 we lost long time beloved Brother Knight Ralph F. Oshinski. All the Brother Knights including myself knew him to be a kind soul. He will be missed but not forgotten. His Funeral will be at SJN on Friday, March 7th at 11 am. For the upcoming Lent Season, we have a couple of recruiting initiatives that we will be undertaking. First, we will be doing some Pulpit announcements during the weekend Masses of March 15th-16th. We will also be actively recruiting during all of our Lenten Fish Fry Dinners. Brother Knights we do a lot of good for our Parish and we are at our best during the Season of Lent. For some of you less active members consider coming out to help even if it’s just for a couple of hours. After all, “no amount of help is too small.” Thank you and God Bless you All.

That concludes my report.

Vivat Iesu,

GK Brian Jeffers
