Grand Knight's Report
Dear Brother Knights,

This is GK Brian Jeffers and this is my second Grand Knight report. My first month is in the books and it was an interesting and active month. I held my first set of meetings in July as a Grand Knight and during the meetings, we planned and organized for the State Meeting that was held on Saturday, July 15th. We had a tremendous turnout for the State Meeting. During the early hours of the meeting, there was not an empty seat to be found in Reynolds Hall. The State Meeting was a success and I thank all of the Brother Knights who came out to help. There was one interesting development of special note during the State meeting and that was our very own Fr. Sunny agreed to be an Associate Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus.

In July 2023 we remembered Brother Knight Dominick Druda who passed away on June 16th. A Memorial Service was held for him on July 6th. We also remembered Tracey McHugh, wife of PGK Jim McHugh who passed away on June 30th. A Memorial Service was held for her on July 16th.
On July 22nd, the Officer’s Installation was held and I want to thank everyone who was able to attend. Fr. Sunny and DD Bill Gorny hosted the ceremony and blessed all the Officers. On July 28th, BK Joe Molyson hosted Bunko Night. He did a great job organizing the event and making sure that we all understood the game. It was a lot of fun and we hope to have another fun game night in the near future to build camaraderie.

Looking ahead, our Sunday Breakfast will be held on August 6th and it will benefit the Marti McLeer Preschool Scholarship Program. The Knights will also have a Lasagna Dinner on Saturday, August 19th and that will be a Council fundraising event. I would encourage all Brother Knights to consider volunteering for one of our many events. Personally speaking, the events are where you’ll have the best Knights of Columbus experience. You’ll experience fun and fellowship and the best teamwork possible. You’ll meet other Brother Knights and get to know other Parishioners as well. Once again, I would encourage everyone to consider volunteering and experience the best that the Knights of Columbus has to offer.

Joke of the Month
A man checked into a hotel. there was a computer in his room, so he decided to send a mail to his wife. He accidentally typed the wrong email address, and without realizing he sent the mail to a widow who had just returned from her husband's funeral. The widow decided to check her mail, expecting condolence messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message she fainted. Her son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor and saw the computer screen which read:

To my loving wife, I know you are surprised to hear from me, they have computers here and we are allowed to send mails to loved ones. I've just checked in. How are you and the kids? The place is really nice but i am lonely here. I have made necessary arrangement for your arrival tomorrow. Expecting you darling. I can't wait to see you.
