Joint Session Recap

City Council met for a joint session with the LSR-7 School Board on Tuesday, October 20, at 6 p.m. at the Green Street Market.

City Council and LSR-7 School Board members participated in small-group breakout sessions at tables throughout Green Street to discuss key community priorities. Members of the public were also invited to join the discussions and share their feedback. Topics included land for future schools, literacy initiatives, the 2025 school bond project, updates on past City election projects, the Capital Improvement Plan, housing, partnership opportunities between the City and LSR-7, and more.

Continuing to strengthen this partnership helps ensure the City and LSR-7 work together to support a thriving community and enhance the quality of life for Lee’s Summit residents.
