Summer is in the air and the urban growth boundary adoption process continues. This newsletter provides a reminder about the upcoming City Council deliberations on Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) adoption and a link to the meeting materials. We have also included information about upcoming community events where you can meet your City Planners and chat about planning and sustainability in Eugene. Finally, have you heard about the new piece of musical public art in downtown Eugene? If you haven't, read on! As always, you can find the latest information about Envision Eugene on our website.
UGB Adoption Process
The Eugene City Council meets next Monday, July 17 to discuss the UGB proposal and make a decision on UGB adoption. The Lane County Board of Commissioners will meet on August 8th. Testimony heard at the public hearing and submitted in writing will be considered at these deliberations, as will the technical documents that support the proposal. While there is no opportunity for public comment at these meetings, all are welcome to attend. The July 17th meeting materials, including a staff memo on the issues raised in the testimony and by elected officials, are available online.
