Contracted Roadside Mowing Approved

Council has approved awarding the Township’s 2026 roadside mowing contract to Royal Property Solutions following a competitive Request for Quotation process. Six qualified submissions were received, with Royal Property Solutions providing the lowest compliant bid.

This approach allows the Township to increase roadside mowing service levels using a contracted provider that will operate under the direction of Township staff. The enhanced service level supports improved road safety and appearance across the municipality and will be funded within the approved 2026 Operating Budget.

2024 Audited Financial Statements

Council received the Township’s 2024 audited financial statements, which were independently audited and presented by MNP. The auditor issued a clean opinion, confirming that the Township’s financial statements fairly reflect its financial position and operations.

Old Highway 2 Zoning Amendment Approved

Council approved a zoning by-law amendment to rezone the property at 21899 Old Highway 2 from Highway Commercial to Light Industrial. The decision followed a public meeting and a detailed planning review, which confirmed the amendment is consistent with provincial policy, the County Official Plan, and local zoning regulations.

EV Charging Infrastructure RFP Not Awarded

Council received a report regarding the request for proposals for a public-private partnership to install electric vehicle charging stations in the Collin Street municipal parking lot and determined that it was not in the public interest to award the RFP at this time.
