COA joins Hamilton County 513Relief Bus
Council on Aging is proud to serve the residents of Hamilton County on the new 513Relief Bus. Funded by Hamilton County Commissioners, the 513Relief Bus provides resources directly to residents using a community-based approach. Staff from our Call Center will be on the bus several days each month, starting with a launch event, 10am-3pm, Jan. 26 at Corinthian Baptist Church. Join us!

Ronnie is a proud Navy veteran with extensive knowledge and leadership in the region's aging network. Emergency SNAP benefits scheduled to end after February 2023
Congress temporarily increased SNAP benefits due to the COVID-19 public health emergency. As a result, SNAP beneficiaries have been receiving more benefits on their EBT card each month than they normally would. The federal law has changed and no longer allows for SNAP emergency allotments. SNAP emergency allotment payments will end after February 2023, reducing benefits to normal levels beginning March 2023. Click here for more information about this change.

HEAP can help with winter energy bills
The Ohio Department of Development and Council on Aging want to remind older adults in Ohio that assistance is available to help with their home energy bills. The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) helps Ohioans at or below 175 percent of the federal poverty guidelines pay their heating bills. Click here for details and application information.

Duke Energy gas bill credits available for low-income Ohioans in our region
Since October, our team has processed more than 2,000 applications for a Duke Energy Ohio gas customer bill credit program. The credits are applied directly to the bill of gas service customers whose household income is 250 percent or less of the federal poverty level. There are still $500 credits available for those who qualify, and those 60 and older can apply through COA. Click here for details.
