BIASC Centennial All Regional Installation Gala – Council on Sage!

By Felesia Dailey

It was November 10, 2023, at the beautiful Rancho Mission Viejo Equestrian Center, on this gorgeous, cool, fall evening a 100th year of celebration for the building Industry of Southern California (BIASC) held its centennial installation gala. The music of the roaring 20’s filled the air, the ambiance and oh so elaborate themed evening took place. The esteemed guests dressed to the nines in period attire. That night was a festive and fun-filled party that celebrated the achievements of all those who have contributed so much of their talents and expertise in the building industry.

For the Council on Sage, 55+ housing council; we were especially proud to honor two of our own legends. We celebrated Annie Garard one of the founders of the Council on Sage and Aruthur “Art” Danielian a giant in architecture and founder of Danielian and Associates.

They each have given a lifetime of knowledge and talent to the building industry and especially to senior housing and the Council on Sage.

Annie Gerard “is a noted expert in the industry as one of the first Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing (CAASH) designees in the nation and a founding director for the country’s first local 55+ Housing Council chapter (Builders Industry Association/Southern California).

She is a frequent speaker and columnist on trends in the apartment and senior apartment arenas. Annie is

a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Sociology.”

Arthur Danielian started Danielian and Associates in 1968. “Since the firm’s launch, Art has led the DA team to a 50-year history of award-winning residential architecture. He is a cognized expert, industry speaker and has become a sought-after mentor for his extensive experience developing innovative home concepts, master planned communities, and market-driven design.

The special gala was a party it featured period signature drinks such as “The Bee’s Knees” at the Rancho Mission Viejo booth, 20’s photo-ops in front of a classic car, spectacular entertainment, and our Council on Sage special photo booth for all to enjoy; to name a few of the festivities. The evening ended with the instillation ceremony for the BIA board members from all councils in attendance. What a spectacular evening; and congratulations to all the newly awarded legends in the BIASC building industry; especially ours; we celebrate Annie Garard and Art Danielian.
