Welcome to the beautiful month of November and ENEWS. There are many updates to share with you this month, as well as some great events that everyone is invited to around the community. Please join me for my Annual Police Community Meeting on Thursday November 14, 6:30pm-8:00pm at Harry Howell Arena to hear updates from Hamilton Police Services on policing and community safety issues in Waterdown / Flamborough. The Waterdown Christmas Tree Lighting community event is coming up on Saturday November 23, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Waterdown Memorial Park, as well as the Flamborough Santa Claus Parade on Saturday November 30 - 6:30 pm sharp. Online Gift Auction Fundraiser

When: Live until Wednesday November 13, 2019

Calling all those in search of the perfect gift! Flamborough Connects' second annual Online Gift Auction began November 4th at 9:00am and is live until November 13th at 11:00pm. They have everything from cooking, beauty, housework, athletics, decorating and relaxing! All proceeds go to support the work Flamborough Connects does in the community such as the seniors rural community bus program, the holiday gift program, income tax program and more. Waterdown Annual Coat Drive

Keep someone warm this winter, and keep warm with a coffee on us! Help the Woolcott Team fill their big moving truck at the 5th Annual Coat Drive in support of the Good Shepherd Centre on Saturday November 9th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., where there will be coffee, hot chocolate and treats. They will be at their office in Waterdown accepting coats, hats, mitts and kitchen supplies - all items that The Good Shepherd Centre is looking for! If you're unable to make it but still want to donate, call their office at 905 689 9223 and they'll arrange a pick up.

Friends of Westfield Dinner Fundraiser

"In the Zone" Climate Change Business Workshop

Please join Councillor Partridge for a Remembrance Day service at the Waterdown Legion on Monday November 11, starting at 10:45 am. This is an opportunity for members of our community to come out and remember the men and women have served for our great country, Canada. We remember all who have served, are presently serving and especially those who gave their lives so that we can enjoy our freedom. Flamborough Seniors Centre Arts & Crafts Show

This show is a fundraiser for the Flamborough Seniors Centre. An exhibition and sale of work by the Westover Artists, also the very talented ladies that knit, crochet and sew, plus other crafts. There will be a “Bake Table” with homemade delights all provided by our members. "Christmas in the Country" Bazaar

This is a traditional Bazaar with items made by the ladies in the Carlisle UCW group. There will be Pies, Christmas Cakes & Puddings, Cabbage Rolls, Quiche, Pickles & Relishes, Tasty Jams & Jellies, Tarts, Cookies, etc. The Craft room has a variety of Knit, Crochet & sewn Gift, Personal & Household items. CP Holiday Train in Hamilton

The CP Holiday Train is back for another wonderful year at Gage Park. This FREE event features performances by Alan Doyle (formally of Great Big Sea) and Beautiful Band. Once the CP Holiday Train has come to a safe stop, one of the rail cars opens up to a stage where the live concert will be taking place. This family friendly event is open to Hamiltonians of all ages. Donations of non-perishable food and cash will be gratefully accepted in support Hamilton Food Share. Train will be arriving to the south side of Gage Park, along Lawrence Road.

Flamborough Santa Claus Parade

Come see Waterdown Village all lit up for the arrival of Santa. The annual nighttime Flamborough Santa Claus Parade is a much-loved community event perfect for kids of all ages.
