Councilmember Palmer and Culture Aid NOLA to Host Drive-Thru Food Pantry on Saturday
NEW ORLEANS - District "C" Councilmember Kristin Gisleson Palmer and Culture Aid NOLA will host a drive-thru food pantry in Treme at the Bell Artspace Campus on Saturday, May 1 at 10 AM. As a reminder, Councilmember Palmer and Second Harvest Food Bank will not host a food pantry in Algiers this week at the Arthur Monday Center but will return Friday, May 7. Councilmember Palmer and Second Harvest Food Bank are hosting a food pantry in Algiers every other Friday due to the growing number of residents returning to work, reducing the need for emergency food distribution sites across the city.

Since the pandemic, Councilmember Palmer organized food pantries with Second Harvest Food Bank, World Central Kitchen, and Culture Aid NOLA to distribute more than 615,000 pounds of food to families and individuals financially impacted by COVID-19. Documentation is not required to receive a food pantry box, and walk-ups are welcomed.
