Academic Skills for Success: A Workshop Series
The Counseling Department is hosting a series of Academic Skills for Success workshops. In these workshops, students will learn practical strategies for time management, study skills, test taking, and growth mindset. The first workshop on time management will be on Wednesday, February 6, with sessions both during lunch and after school from 2:45 to 3:30 in the Fireside Conference room. National Youth Gathering: July 11 - 15
The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is hosting a Youth Gathering in Minneapolis, Minnesota July 11 - 15. This gathering is held every three years and provides thousands of youth the opportunity to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity. Irvine Valley College Honors Program Night
Do you have plans to attend Irvine Valley College before transferring to your dream school? Join the IVC Honors Program Night on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, to learn how the IVC Honors Program will help you reach your desired transfer destination. Through benefiting from priority registration, special transfer agreements, seminar-style classes, and much more.

Sophomore College Planning Night
All 10th grade parents and students are invited to join us on, Tuesday, February 12 at 6:00 p.m. in room 207A/MPR for Sophomore College Planning Night. We will cover information related to preparation for the ACT/SAT and answer many of your questions regarding the college search and application process.  It is never too early to be informed! SAT/ACT Comparison Test for The Class of 2021 (Sophomores)
Through a partnership with The College Blueprint, CLHS students are eligible to enroll in one FREE ACT or SAT prep class. Classes are offered throughout the school year, as well as during the summer. ACT and SAT prep classes are held on campus at CLHS. Before selecting a prep class, we recommend taking the FREE SAT/ACT Comparison test to determine which test your student should prepare for.

When: Saturday April 13th, 8:00am - 12:00pm
Where: Crean Lutheran High School; Multipurpose Room
What: This comparison test will help determine whether you are best suited for the SAT or the ACT

Honor Society Applications due January 31
All Honor Society applications are due no later than this Thursday, January 31Students who are interested in seeking acceptance into the Crean Lutheran Saints chapter of one or more nationally recognized honor societies, or the Multilingual Recognition Award, must complete the following application. CLHS waives induction fees, instead choosing to cover them by a non-refundable $60.00 application fee, which may be used to cover payments required by the individual honor societies as well as awards for all types of recognition outlined in this application. The application fee must be submitted with the application and is non-refundable, whether or not a student obtains recognition. Bulletin for AP Student and Parents Now Available
The 2018-2019 Bulletin for AP students and Parents is now available. You can access it online here. It includes important information about the AP Exams, including the policies and procedures for exam administration and security that help ensure a fair and uniform testing experience for all students. On exam day, you'll be asked to sign a statement on your answer sheet indicating that you understand and agree to the policies and procedures in this publication. Please take some time to review the bulletin and reach out to your AP teacher or counselor with any questions.
Bank of America Student Leaders Paid Internship Opportunity
Bank of America is looking for high school juniors and seniors who lead and serve in their own communities and beyond for an opportunity to be part of their 2019 Bank of America Student LeadersĀ® program this summer. What have you been doing to reach your goals?  What could you do differently now that we are three weeks into the semester? Reviewing your progress and making adjustments is the best way to stay the course, and take strides forward to stay motivated and achieve what you set out to do!
