for their sponsorship of the Conservation Awards Luncheon at conference. Several awards including the Indiana Conservation Farmer of the Year, Friend of Conservation, Supervisor of the Year and Earth Team Volunteer Award will be given during the luncheon held on January 15.
Special guest, Kevin Gregory, Chief Meteorologist, RTV6, will be the emcee.
Founded in 2001, the Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) is Indiana corn farmers’ marketing arm, and so much more. It’s a statewide organization that serves Indiana corn farmers through checkoff programs that help create demand and broaden markets — opening opportunities down the road and across the globe for Indiana’s corn farmers. 
The Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA), recognized by the Secretary of U.S. Department of Agriculture as a Qualified State Soybean Board, is a statewide organization that serves Indiana soybean farmers through checkoff, membership and policy programs.
SWCD Delegates for the Annual Business Meeting at Conference
Each Soil and Water Conservation District in good standing (fully paid annual dues) with the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Inc. will have the opportunity to send one SWCD Supervisor delegate to the Annual Conference business meeting. The vote of the district will be cast by the delegate or the alternate at the meeting.

2019 Soil Health Trainings
The 2019 CCSI-SARE Soil Health Training Brochure is available for download. This brochure will be updated regularly as training dates, speakers, and agendas are finalized.  These events are designed for Indiana Conservation Partnership staff, Ag Professionals, Farmer-Mentors, and others who work with farmers, landowners and others on soil health practices. The trainings are made possible through a partnership between the Conservation Cropping Systems Initiative and the Indiana Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program.

NACD’s Take: The Final 2018 Farm Bill Agreement
On Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, the House and Senate Agriculture Committees released the text and conference report for the 2018 Farm Bill. NACD staff have been busy analyzing the bill to see how our priorities fared. Passing a bill is only the first step, and we look forward to working with the committee, Congress and USDA to make further improvements as this process moves forward.
