Celebrating Creativity & Civic Pride

Martin County’s young artists once again impressed us with their creativity, talent, and patriotic spirit through this year’s I Voted Sticker Contest and Color Me Patriotic Contest. Congratulations to Shaunee Scott, winner of the I Voted Sticker Contest, and to our Color Me Patriotic Contest winners: Hannah Mendez (1st Place), Joanna Huynh (2nd Place), and Kaitlyn Sperco (3rd Place). Their artwork reflects the imagination, civic pride, and community spirit that make these contests so special.

A very special thank you to Gary Lesser, Managing Partner of Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel, PLLC, for sponsoring both contests since their inception. Through his continued support and dedication, hundreds of local students have had the opportunity to express their creativity while learning about civic engagement. We are grateful for his commitment to inspiring the next generation of active and engaged citizens.

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners, and thank you to everyone who participated and helped make these contests a success!

More Than Meets the Ballot

From planning and preparation before Election Day to managing operations on Election Night and continuing with post-election activities and ongoing voter services, election administration is a year-round effort. The wheel highlights the many interconnected areas that support secure, accurate, transparent, and accessible elections, demonstrating the dedication and expertise required to serve voters and uphold public trust in the electoral process.

Martin County at the FSE Summer Conference

Supervisor of Elections Vicki Davis and members of the Martin County Elections team recently attended the 2026 Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections (FSE) Summer Conference, joining election professionals from across the state for several days of learning, collaboration, and networking.

The conference provided valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, discuss best practices, and stay informed on the latest developments in election administration. Events like these help ensure election officials remain connected and prepared to meet the evolving needs of Florida voters.

While at the conference, Supervisor Davis also had the opportunity to connect with Maria Matthews, Director of the Florida Division of Elections, and Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd.

From building relationships with fellow Supervisors of Elections to engaging with state election leaders, the conference was a great opportunity to strengthen partnerships and continue the important work of serving voters with excellence.
