Exciting day! We had our first CSA Scholarship Share harvest on Tuesday. 

Your contribution supports these shares through 23 weeks.





Shares are distributed to:
  • 180/180
  • Davenport Resource Center
  • Gemma
  • River Street Shelter
  • Santa Cruz AIDS Project
  • Transition Age Youth
  • Women's Crisis Support
  • and the flowers go to Hospice of Santa Cruz County
Help us meet our goal--our online campaign ends May 18. We've raised nearly $6,000 of our $8,000 goal.


Your single donation supports:
  • our Transitional jobs program for people who are homeless &
  • distribution of our organic produce to people who need it most.

 2 Great Events this Weekend

  

 Friday, May 16: In partnership with The Oral Histories Project, we invite you to a screening of:
At our Downtown Store, 5:30 - 7 PM. Followed by a reception and discussion. 
  • We are thrilled to share this 20 minute film that moves past stereotypes and embraces the complexities of homelessness.
  • Not the Other is designed to demonstrate the wide diversity, and the dignity, vulnerability, resilience, resourcefulness, struggles, and strengths of people who are homeless in our community. 
  • The Homeless Garden Project Downtown Store features products made in HGP's training program and is open Friday and Saturday, noon-7 PM and Sunday, noon-6 PM. Your purchases support HGP's programs.
