Mead appointed board of elections director

Brian Mead was sworn in by Licking County Prosecutor Bill Hayes

Congratulations to former CCAO Policy Analyst Brian Mead, who was sworn in on Tuesday as director of the Licking County Board of Elections. As a Licking County resident, this is a great opportunity for Brian and his family. Brian can be more involved in his community and spend more time with his wife, 6-year old daughter and 9-year old son and enjoy a much shorter commute to work!

Brian joined the CCAO staff in 2014 as a policy analyst responsible for legislative advocacy and member services specializing in agriculture, environment, energy, economic development, public records, open meetings, ethics, animal control and general government.  He was the liaison to the CCAO Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee; Jobs, Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee; and Water Quality Task Force.

Prior to joining CCAO, Brian worked for the Montgomery County Board of Elections as a training coordinator from 2007 to 2011, when he revamped and expanded poll worker training. He also has worked as a regional public affairs director for the state auditor and attorney general.

CCAO wishes Brian well in in his new position in Licking County!
