Stahl returns as Ottawa county commissioner
Please join CCAO in welcoming back our newest county commissioner - Mark Stahl, who was sworn-in on Oct. 28 to the unexpired term of County Commissioner Steven Arndt. Arndt was appointed to the Ohio House of Representatives to an unexpired term in the 89th House District. Stahl previously had served as a county commissioner from 2009 to 2012.
Stahl has a dual bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo in accounting and finance. Before being elected commissioner in 2008, he was an Allen Township trustee for five years. He's also served 18 years as a member of the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District, reaching the rank of captain, and is a firefighting instructor.
With his previous experience as county commissioner, Stahl was ready to hit the ground running to create a good business environment to add jobs for skilled trade workers. In addition, he recognizes Lake Erie as a strategic asset for not only Ohio as a whole, but especially for the communities throughout Ottawa County. Stahl plans to run for another term a year from now, as the seat is up for re-election in November 2016.
