National County Government Month 2016

National County Government Month (NCGM), held each April, is an annual celebration of county government. Since 1991, CCAO and the National Association of Counties have encouraged counties to actively promote the services and programs they offer. Counties can schedule activities any time during the month.

NCGM is an excellent opportunity for your county to highlight effective county programs and raise public awareness and understanding about the various services provided to your community.

NACo has established the theme of "Safe and Secure Counties", but your county can establish any theme to celebrate National County Government Month. Read more...

Mark your calendar and plan to attend the Ohio Council of County Officials (OCCO) Legislative Reception to be held on April 6 in the Statehouse Atrium in Columbus. Invite your members of the Ohio General Assembly to the reception and make an appointment to discuss issues of importance to your county.  More information to follow.
