Steve Arndt selected for open Ohio House position
Former Ottawa County Commissioner Steve Arndt on Tuesday was sworn in to take an open position in the Ohio House. He'll represent the 89th House District seat, which includes Ottawa and Erie counties.
Arndt was selected among 14 people who applied to complete the 15 months left in the term.
Arndt said he will focus on the community and what its needs are. On his agenda moving forward, he said in a statement to the News Herald, is meeting with community residents, business owners and elected officials to learn those needs and issues.
"Something I focused on my entire elected career is creating an environment that fosters job growth," he said. "It will be one of those things that I will continue on in Columbus."
