Boston Pops Field Trip
This month, Bellesini students attended the Boston Pops Holiday Concert at Symphony Hall.  This special night was made possible by the Highland Street Foundation.

Our students had a wonderful time listening to the orchestra and the chorus directed by Keith Lockhart.  They especially enjoyed the Pops' special version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas".  The night was capped off with the arrival of Santa and a fun filled sing-along.  Many thanks to our friends at Highland Street Foundation for making this a night to remember for our students!
New England Patriots' Children's Holiday Party at Gillette Stadium

Many thanks to the Kraft Family and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation for hosting our students at the annual Patriots Children's Holiday Party in Foxboro.

Students had the opportunity to meet Devin McCourty, Barkevious Mingo, Jabaal Sheard, Jonathan Jones,
and Geneo Grissom, as well as some of the Patriots' cheerleaders and Pat Patriot.  They enjoyed dinner served by the players, as well as many fun games, including dressing the players and eachother as snowmen and Christmas trees.
D'Alelio Management Hosts Bellesini Students at 100 for 100 Event

Many thanks to the Lawlor family and D'Alelio Management Company for inviting Bellesini students to the Dunkin Donuts "100 for 100" event at Dick's Sporting Goods in Saugus.  "100 for 100" is a special event funded by Joyal Capital Management Foundation, Inc. each holiday season.

Our students were treated to a great morning of fun and shopping.  Each of them received $100 to spend at Dick's Sporting Goods.  Students were able to purchase coats, shoes, backpacks, and sporting goods.  D'Alelio Management has hosted our students at the "100 for 100" event for several years now, and we are grateful for its generosity to the young men and women we serve!
Pike School Student Collects Ski Pants for Bellesini Ski Program

We are very grateful to Brady Lawlor, an 8th grade student at Pike School in Andover for organizing a ski pants drive at his school to benefit Bellesini.  Brady learned that Bellesini will be starting an after-school ski program in January, and that our students were in need of ski pants. He spoke about Bellesini at a Pike School assembly and asked his fellow students to donate ski pants for our students.  Brady collected over 25 pairs of ski pants and delivered them to Bellesini last week with his friend and classmate Andrew Fitzgerald, who helped him with the collection.  Thank you to Brady and Andrew, and all of the Pike students who donated!
Lawrence Cultural Council Funds Field Trips for Students
We are grateful to the Lawrence Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, for supporting the arts, humanities, and science in our community.  Each year, the Council supports many cultural events throughout Lawrence and field trips for Lawrence school students.

During 2016, the Lawrence Cultural Council made it possible for Bellesini students to attend two wonderful field trips.  In July, our sixth and seventh graders from the Girls' School traveled to Nahant to visit Northeastern University's Marine Science Center for an education program and tide pool exploration that ties into our Science curriculum.  Then in October, our fifth and sixth grade students attend the theater production of "James and the Giant Peach" at Emerson Theater in Boston.  The production was  part of Emerson's Theater for Young Audiences program which provides opportunities for students to attend daytime theater performances during the school week.  To learn more about the Massachusetts Cultural Council, please click on the logo below.
