Giving Goes Further on
Colorado Gives Day
Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, FISH is able to meet the rising need to prevent hunger and homelessness in Broomfield. Please consider supporting FISH with an online, year-end donation for Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 10, 2019! With the $1.5 million incentive fund from Community First Foundation, First Bank and other partners, this statewide day of giving is an opportunity to increase the value of your contribution. You can schedule a gift of any amount in advance, or plan to donate on 12/10, by clicking here.
Holiday Kits Bring Holiday Cheer
The holiday season can be a stressful time, particularly if you are already struggling to pay bills and make ends meet! In an effort to spread some holiday cheer, FISH will have special shelves in our Marketplace throughout November and December. These decorated shelves will include items families can use to make a holiday meal, as well as extras like hot cocoa kits, baking kits, and personal care baskets. If you, your family, or your b usiness would like to help brighten the holidays, please consider making and donating kits to FISH! Click here for more details. A special thanks to the Broomfield Evening Rotary for their grant to purchase holiday gift cards for all of our FISH families this year!
Housing and Children's Success
Please join the Broomfield Housing Opportunity Coalition (BHOC) on Thursday, November 14th from 6 to 8:30 pm at the Eisenhower Room of the Broomfield LIbrary for a conversation with community members about how housing insecurity affects children, families and our schools! This event will include panelists Brittany Polinski from A Precious Child, Samara Williams from Emerald Elementary, Lisle Reed from Adams 12 Five Star Schools, and Heidi Henkel, Broomfield City Councilperson Elect. For details and to RSVP for this event, please click here.

Volunteer Spotlight: Cindy Blue
This month FISH would like to honor Cindy Blue for her support and dedication to the mission of FISH! Cindy began volunteering at FISH in March of 2017, right before we moved to our new building. She is a regular volunteer on Wednesday evenings when we are open late in the Marketplace. She is an expert at the front desk and keeps things running smoothly, efficiently, and with humor, even during our busiest times. Cindy welcomes everyone with a warm smile and has a wealth of knowledge about helpful resources in the community. Thank you, Cindy!
Pictured above: So many community members are hosting food drives over the next two months and we appreciate all of you! Special shout out to Tracy Kane and Boy Scout Troop 766 for bringing in more than 5,100 pounds of food and $600 to support our families! Pictured with the Troop is FISH board member, Sgt. Sean James, from the Broomfield Police Department.
