A message from our Head of Middle School, Kristy Zachary
Happy Spring! Country Day Middle School has been very busy with softball and baseball in full swing, standardized testing, and the geography bee competition. Now, as we look forward to the final weeks of school, we celebrate the Class of 2021 and are so excited for their bright futures. This week, the eighth grade class traveled to Camp Olympia in Trinity, TX for an unforgettable experience! Also, be on the lookout for our eighth grade student spotlights that will be featured on social media as we honor these amazing future leaders during their final days of 8th grade.
The Country Day Eighth Grade Graduation will be held on May 17 at 2:00 PM in Guinn Auditorium on the Louisiana College campus. Due to limited spacing, we can only extend tickets to the graduates' families, but it will be live streamed on our Facebook page.
I hope that you and your family have a blessed Spring break, and students return to school in April with a renewed mindset to complete the 2020-2021 school year with success!

PE Mile Club
In our Physical Education classes, Thursday is a run day for our PE Mile Club! Each student has a QR code they scan as they run. Running 5 miles earns the student a shoe with their name on it for the wall. The more they run, the higher they advance to the
10, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 50 Mile Club!

Help us encourage our students to exceed their goals and advance in the club before the school year ends!
Cenla Giving Day
Central Louisiana Community Foundation is hosting their first-ever CENLA Giving Day. CENLA Giving Day is a 24-hour online giving day taking place May 4, 2021, with a two-week early giving period set to open on Tuesday, April 20. This powerful online fundraising initiative will unite the Central Louisiana community in support of the nonprofit community.

Visit CENLAgivingday.org to participate and support Country Day!!

Donations made to Country Day will go to funding our new Maker Space!

Spring Break Travel Reminder:
Many of our families will travel over spring break. At this point in the pandemic, we are accustomed to healthy habits, such as: wearing a face mask, maintaining a six-foot distance from others, frequent hand washing, respiratory etiquette, enhanced cleaning, and monitoring yourself and your children for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.

If you choose to travel, please take extra precautions to keep yourself, your children, and our school community safe. Below are helpful, recommended links to the CDC website regarding travel during COVID-19.
