WASHINGTON COUNTY EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER
PHONE NUMBER UPDATES
Changes affect non-emergency phone numbers
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (November 23, 2016) - The Washington County Emergency Communications Center would like to announce, due to upgrades to their administrative phone system, the old non-emergency phone numbers will be disconnected.

Verizon upgraded the phone lines September 2015 and several numbers were disconnected. At that time residents were instructed to use the new numbers.  If residents called the old numbers they were prompted to use the new numbers.  Effective December 1, 2016, the old numbers will be permanently disconnected.

As a reminder the new numbers are:
  • 240-313-4345, non-emergency phone line
  • 240-313-4360, main office phone line
Remember, residents with an emergency should still utilize 9-1-1. Citizens with a non-emergency call should utilize 240-313-4345.

For more information, contact Public Relations Manager James Jenkins at 240-313-2384.
