Contra Costa has many industrial facilities which handle hazardous materials, including oil refineries and chemical plants. The role of the Hazardous Materials Commission is to advise the Board of Supervisors and county staff on matters relating to the management of hazardous wastes and materials.
This is an important role and great opportunity to shape policies around hazardous waste and materials. Serving on this commission makes a difference!
I hope you'll consider joining me in serving Contra Costa County.
