MACo 2022 County Innovation Award Winners

Champion Agriculture and Public Safety

MACo’s County Innovation Award recognizes superb and leading-edge county programs that improve overall quality-of-life and service delivery for a county’s residents and is issued to an urban and a rural county each year. The award is a collaboration of the Academy for Excellence in Local Governance and MACo, with support from the Local Government Insurance Trust.

All nominees were impressive, addressing issues in their communities and serving the needs of residents in ways that were truly “outside the box.” The winners are...The Upper Shore Agriculture Microgrant Program (Queen Anne’s, Cecil, and Kent Counties) and Baltimore City Vacant Building Rooftop Collapse Detection.
