Mid-California International Trade District
Strategically located in Central California and to the southeast of Silicon Valley, Merced County houses the MCITD,  a 2,000-acre multi-modal manufacturing and logistics hub. Efficient and reliable for inbound and outbound logistics. MCITD provides access to California, North America and global markets.

MCITD includes the development of four distinct Investment Zones.
  • Airport Zone (Yellow)- Castle Airport, with substantial airport infrastructure, is key to support both inbound and outbound cargo and corporate travel.
  • Rail Logistics Zone (Purple)- Connecting directly to the transcontinental BNSF rail line which runs adjacent directly into the project site, the Rail District will be anchored by a new rail transload facility (RTF). The Rail District is enabled by Merced County's partnership agreement with the Port of Los Angeles, which has led to a three-way project strategy that is being developed with the BNSF Railroad.
  • Manufacturing Investment Zone (Pink)- This is a 568 acre greenfield development area that provides for medium and large-format manufacturing and supports large distribution investment projects. Lots range in size from ΒΌ acre to lots in excess of 20 acres.
  • Automotive Zone (Red Outline)- This is the location of the California Autotech Testing and Development Center (CATDC), which now houses Google/Waymo's global autonomous vehicle test facility and a 300-acre shared use test and development campus. In addition to Google/Waymo's use, other current partners/users also include companies like Samsung, Mercedes-Benz Daimler and Intel. The Automotive Zone will support assembly and production of technology components products.
