The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is bringing all the services of a Driver Licensing Regional Office to the KACo Conference and Exposition to help you take care of business and sign up for your REAL ID.

County candidate outcomes – 2024 general election

Kentucky circuit court clerks and commonwealth’s attorneys, who both serve six-year terms, were on the general election ballot this year. 


The unexpired terms of some other county offices, including judge/executive, magistrate/commissioner, jailer, property valuation administrator (PVA), sheriff, coroner, county attorney and county clerk, were also decided on Tuesday in special elections.

Kentucky House and Senate Republicans maintain supermajority

While the presidential race may have driven most voter turnout for the 2024 general election – with 58.8% of registered Kentucky voters casting a ballot – races for the state legislature were also decided Tuesday.  


Most incumbents will be returning to Frankfort for the 2025 General Session, however there will be some new faces at the Capitol.

County Priority Projects Program requests submitted to legislature

Legislators heard an update this week about the state’s new County Priority Projects Program (CPPP) for funding requests related to local roads. 


The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet received more than 1,600 project requests from counties and cities amounting to $178.3 million.

Supreme Court announces new head of the Administrative Office of the Courts

Zach Ramsey, who is also a licensed Kentucky attorney, will start Dec. 1 as the next director of the Administrative Office of the Courts.


Chief Justice of the Commonwealth Laurance B. VanMeter announced the new director during his final State of the Judiciary address Thursday to a legislative committee.
