County to apply for portion of $35M in Water Resources Development Act funds
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer will welcome members of the Delaware's federal delegation to one of New Castle County's wastewater pumping stations on Friday as the county celebrates $35 million in federal funding in New Castle the delegation secured for water quality enhancements through the Water Resources Development Act. MLK Day of Service donation event at Hope Center on Monday
The Hope Center will host a Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service donation event on Monday morning from 10am-12pm. For restaurants and volunteer groups, The Hope Center also needs help feeding families on weekends. If you are willing to help provide and/or serve a meal, please contact Stacey Kee at Stacey.Kee@newcastlede.gov. County Executive visits Hope Center after-school program
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer joined Coach J.L. Williams who operates the after-care program at the Hope Center through Let’s Grow Act Win on Wednesday. Coach Williams has been with The Hope Center for over a year running the program in partnership with the United Way and several New Castle County school districts. UD professor sees Rockwood like never before thanks to VR
University of Delaware professor Dr. Joelle Wickens is seeing Rockwood Mansion like never before. Because Dr. Wickens uses a wheelchair, she's not able to traverse the historic mansion's stairs or tight corridors, but through virtual reality headsets, her students are helping to bring her along with them.
