It Is All About Love

Today, on Maundy Thursday, we return to the table where Jesus offered his mandatum—the sacred call to love.

A love shaped by his own hands and heart: generous, unguarded, sacrifical, and alive with grace.

St. Paul tells us that among faith, hope, and love, only one stands as the greatest—and it is love.

We are all apprentices in this divine art.

As Holy Week unfolds, may these services draw you deeper into Christ’s fullness, and may you continue to grow into the radiant measure of His love.

You are loved,

+ Pastor Kevin

PS - We are SO pleased to be receiving 21 new members into the life of Covenant this Sunday during our two worship services. You can read their short biographies here!

Summer Interns

Last year we had so much success with our camps that our church decided to work towards hiring interns for the summer. We are thrilled to be able to offer positions for up to two full time interns this summer. It is our hope that this not only helps us to create the best experience for camp ministries and Sunday School, but also helps us to raise up future leaders for service. Do you know any young people that are interested in serving children and youth within the church? We are now accepting applications for our summer interns. Let's pray that God leads the right folks to see this opportunity and to join us in this journey!

For those interested, click here for the internship description.

The Three Marys

Sunday, March 22nd, 29th and April 12th at 9:30am; taught by Marcia Muir

Preparing to teach a class about three women in the Bible I found I was engaged in a deeply meaningful look at the accounts of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. I pondered the Marys’ presence at these events and I was drawn in, seeing through their eyes and being amazed at the actions of these faithful women who walked with Jesus. Join me to spend some time this Lenten season traveling the days leading up to Easter in the company of the Marys.

Book Club

Book Club will continue on Thursday, April 16th at 10:00am. We will be discussing the book Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Sutanto.

Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto is a cozy mystery about a lonely, widowed tea shop owner in San Francisco's Chinatown who finds a dead body in her shop and decides to solve the murder herself, taking a flash drive from the victim and watching her customers for clues. The book is known for its humor, heartwarming "found family" elements, and quirky characters, blending a traditional whodunit with a story about connection and loneliness.

New readers are always welcomed and encouraged!

Covenant Library

For the Love by Jen Hatmaker was written to "fight for Grace in a world of impossible standard." Some of her main topics are: your very own self; all these people who live in your house; friends, neighbors, strangers and enemies; and church, church people, not-church people, and God. The author discusses common life challenges with helpful reflection and humor. This book is in the "M" section for Men and Women issues in the church library room.
