Worship & Picnic in the Park is This Sunday!

Join us this Sunday for Worship & Picnic in the Park! We’ll enjoy worship together, followed by a time of food and fellowship.

Blessing of the Backpacks will also take place at the park, so be sure to bring your backpacks as we pray for and bless those beginning a new school year.

If weather requires us to move the picnic indoors, we will send an e-blast with updated plans no later than Saturday. In the event of inclement weather, we will gather for worship at the church at 11:00 am, followed immediately by the picnic in Fellowship Hall.

Pastor Chris' Vacation

Thanking you in advance for some time away to rest, gather with family, and enjoy some down time. Please contact Pastor Allison or the church office for pastoral needs. And please, if you see an email from "me" while I'm away, it's likely a scam. DO NOT send money or purchase gift cards to send anyone pretending to be me or one of our staff. We will NEVER ask anyone to do this. See you in September.

Chancel Choir and Covenant Ringers Party

Our Chancel Choir and Covenant Ringers' members are invited to a party at the home of Dave and Carol Chrisp on Saturday, August 22, from 1:00 - 3:30pm. Calling all Pet Lovers!

We'd love to fill our bulletin board with the furry, feathered, scaly, or finned companions who bring joy to your life. Submit a favorite photo of your pet (current or past!) to Anita (printed or emailed: children@covenantumc.net), and help us create a bulletin board that celebrates the many creatures who share our lives.

Seeking Volunteers

We are seeking volunteers to assist with reading scripture and liturgies during our 10:15am service. Contact Pastor Chris or Pastor Allison if interested.

“Rise & Shine – it’s Breakfast Time”

Breakfast foods:

shelf stable milk, cereal, Granola bars, pop tarts, pancake mix, syrup, etc.

Clothing Donations

Cleaning out closets for new school clothes or the change of seasons?

Leave gently used clothing or new underwear and socks at the Mission Collection Center for the FWCS Clothing Bank or Inasmuch Ministry. All sizes, from baby-adult, are needed.

Peace Room Snacks

Northrop High School’s Peacemakers are asking for individually packaged snacks for their Peace Room.

Please leave donations in the box by The Mission Collection Center.

Circles

We are preparing to start Cohort 5 of Circles in September. How crazy is that?? It just seems like yesterday Debbie and I were trying to figure out how to do the first one!

So first, if you see anyone at IAM or know anyone who could benefit from financial literacy and community building, please let us know. Second, we need mentors-people willing to walk the journey and it isn't easy, but I think our mentors will say it was rewarding. Third, if you know anyone who could help us with child care, and fourth, any group that would be willing to do a meal or meals.
