New Members Received
Majesty of Christ Sunday
Thanksgiving Sunday
Transgender Day of Remembrance
| | | | We were reminded during the Invitation to Commitment, this year, to give as an expression of gratitude for all that we have received. But so many allegiances conflict our hearts, it can be difficult to imagine exactly how to be truly thankful. For example, this Sunday we observe "TDOR" and celebrate a reception of new members, both in the same service. Pastor Dave Denoon explores the challenges of thanksgiving and offers a word of hope in troubled times. | | |
Scripture: Colossians 1:10-21
Music by the Canterbury Bells
Message of the Day: "Enduring Thankfully"
Liturgist: Jenny Jones

"Jesus Has Left The Building"
Thank you to all who participated in our outreach event, last Sunday! Phil Shoulberg, our resident photographer, snapped a few photos of the congregants who put together bags for the needy. Take a look!
Pastor Dave Denoon has written a post at our website about the second project - worshiping at St. John's UCC (The Beloved Community). Have a read!

A Note of Thanks
We have often heard that it takes a Village to raise a child. In my case it took a Congregation to take care of me for two and a half months after I broke my ankle! Church members and faithful neighbors saw to it that I had needed transportation, grocery shopping, laundry done, cleaning help engaged, meals brought in, odd jobs done, and lots of cards, emails, phone calls and visits to ease the boredom of my “incarceration.” Evidence of our caring, Christian community abounds. Thank you to everyone who helped take care of me this fall.
Thanks and Blessings to all of you,
Joan Musbach

Bottle Caps / Rainbow Bench Update
As you may be aware, we need 400 lbs of these to make our Rainbow Bench. We’ve received over 200 lbs, but there’s a “lotta” caps left to go! If everyone participates, we can reach our goal. There’s a deposit box in the Narthex. Cap specs are here.

Can You Offer a Ride?
Two church members - Helen Moody and Martin Mills - have given over their keys and are no longer driving. Helen lives near the church, at Sunrise Senior Living. Martin lives in Lemay, just off of Lemay Ferry Rd. If you can provide transportation to either (they attend separately), some Sunday soon, please find their signup sheets on clipboards in the office to volunteer a ride. Thank you!

Webster Rock Hill Ministries Food Donations Needed
SNAP may be up and running again, but there will still be families needing assistance. If you can donate proteins – peanut butter (and jelly), cans of chicken, tuna, salmon and ham – it would be really helpful. Also, Thanksgiving is coming, and it is a great time to provide food for a family. A list of dinner items is available here, or from the long Narthex Table. Deposit your food donations in the “Sharing Our Bounty” shelves in the Narthex. Rosemary Hensley has more information.
