July Communion & Mission Focus
Whitney Achievement Elementary School
For many years, Covenant UMC has enjoyed a partnership with Whitney Achievement Elementary School located in the Frayser community. Along with the Covenant United Methodist Women, church member volunteers tutor students in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, provide school uniforms and backpacks filled with school supplies and so much more!

Prayerfully consider supporting Covenant’s local mission focus at Whitney Achievement Elementary School. Covenant is making difference in the lives of the students, their families, the entire school staff, and the Frayser community.

Congratulations Covenant….we’re
hiring a pediatrician in Haiti! You
raised $18,081.22
Thank you Covenant for once again supporting Haiti missions, Real Hope For Haiti and the work they do!!!!! I truly struggle to find the words to express my personal thanks. Our church family continues to open it's heart to the people of Haiti and allows God to do mighty things through our efforts. Your ongoing support continues to show your faith, and God's unconditional love to the wonderful people of Haiti. They know they are loved and valued by their brothers and sisters in Christ at Covenant UMC. Your faithful support has saved and changed so many lives in Haiti over the last 12 yrs. Helping RHFH to add a pediatrician to their staff will magnify this in so many ways. - Holly Mitchener

From the missionaries in Haiti: Lori, Licia and Casey

Real Hope For Haiti and our staff are so grateful for your generosity in raising the funds for us to hire a pediatrician. What an amazing gift of love and support for the children of Haiti! Thank you for believing in this need and being trailblazers and champions for children in the greater Cazale community. Providing a pediatrician for the clinic and rescue center will introduce a level of specialty care that has never been available in this area of Haiti. Word will soon spread that there is a new doctor just for kids working in the region. Your gifts will allow us to provide pediatric care to approximately 9500 kids per year. We are blessed to be able to serve Haiti in a way that reflects Psalm 127:3 that says, “children are a gift from the Lord.”

The pediatrician will educate and encourage parents, helping them understand the importance of their role in raising healthy children. They will also teach parents, caregivers and families practical methods to prevent disease, and explain treatments for various illnesses. Having a pediatrician working with us will also give the staff confidence in the care they provide and decisions they make, which will improve the level of care in all of our programs. Your investment in promoting good health and well-being among the children of Haiti will save and improve the lives of many children. We are happy to have you partnering with us in reaching the goal of bringing a pediatrician on staff at the Real Hope For Haiti clinic in Cazale. Your love and generosity will have a positive impact on the lives of children, child welfare and improve the strength of families. Thank you for your genuine concern and compassion. May the Lord bless and protect you and thank you for coming together as a church to bring the first pediatrician to the Cazale community.
