A Note of Thanks
To My Covenant Family,

My heart was so very happy and touched by all the love you showed me and my family at my precious Mom’s funeral. I so appreciate all the cards, calls, and support during this sad and difficult time in my life. Thank you.

Mom, or Memaw as we called her, planned nearly every detail of her funeral, including the music, hymns, and Bible verses. She even wrote her own obituary. However, she also wrote a beautiful letter about her faith in Christ. This letter was read at Mom’s funeral, and I hope you will take a few moments to read it for yourself.

Change For Life Haiti Missions Fundraiser
May 1- May 15

This is it!!! Have you heard? We're hiring a doctor in Haiti!!! Covenant is raising money to hire a Haitian doctor for Real Hope For Haiti to serve the greater community of Cazale, Haiti! Our goal is $18,000 and we are on our way!!!! We have already collected approximately $3,225 towards our goal. Sunday, May 15 is the day to bring your filled baby bottles to church so your donation can be added to the total!!! The bottles will be collected during communion by leaving them on the communion railing.

Don't have a bottle to fill? No worries, you can donate online! Don't have any change? No problem, you can put cash or a check in your bottle!!! We are excited to collect the final donations and give a final total in the days to come!!!

Thank you for your generous donations, ongoing support, and prayers for the wonderful people in Haiti. Your excitement, encouragement, and desire to reach this goal of hiring a doctor for RHFH is truly amazing. Covenant UMC is answering prayers and blessing the people of Haiti.
Project Transformation Summer 2022!

Covenant family, it’s time to sign up to support Project Transformation (PT) this summer! If you are new to this program, PT Tennessee launched in 2012 to address three unique challenges with one program: 1) how to meet the academic, physical, social-emotional, and spiritual needs of children; 2) how to provide meaningful ways for college-age young adults to explore ministry opportunities and develop as young leaders for the church and the world; and 3) how to help churches connect with their communities.

This year, our local summer camp will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church (584 E. McLemore Ave., Memphis). Covenant UMC has signed up to provide 8-10 daily volunteers to read one-on-one with children the week of July 5-7 from 9:15am – 12:15pm.

If you are interested in participating, please click the link below or scan the QR code to submit your contact info and availability to Julie Hendrick, our PT contact. She will reach out with additional information regarding training sessions, background checks, etc. You do NOT have to be available all of our assigned days to volunteer- we’ll gladly schedule you whenever you are free!
