Blood Drive with EEC
May 2 - Critical Need!
Emmanuel Episcopal is hosting another Blood Drive on May 2 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm in the Donor Coach (3785 Barker Cypress parking lot), along with Covenant and Temple Sinai. The need is especially great right now, so mark your calendars and plan to donate blood if you can! The Gulf Coast Blood Center is in emergency mode, trying in every way possible to replenish blood on the shelf. CLICK HERE to see flyer.

There is a CRITICAL need for blood, as over 3000 units of blood were lost during the winter storm power outage.
MESA Can Drive 2021

We are working our way to the top of the arch. From last reported we have collected an additional 119 cans for a total of 208 this year. This includes cash to cans, cans dropped off to MESA by members and our March door to door pick up. Our Friends at Memorial Drive Lutheran Church donated 138 cans during their February drive. Together we have donated 345 cans! Can we challenge ourselves to donate 128 cans in April? That would get us a quarter of the way up the arch!
The next door to door can drive is Saturday, April 17. If you would like your cans picked up, please email Julie Bohland. Let’s keep up our support of MESA. The need is great and together we are making a positive impact on our community!
Our 2021 goal: donate enough cans to reach the top of the St. Louis arch!!
Pastor Ele is taking vacation time this week. Please contact the church office (281-578-8799) if you have a need, and you will be directed to the correct person.
Conversations on Faith in the Movies
Join us for a fun series of discussions with the following movies selected by a combination of votes from First Lutheran Waco and Covenant Lutheran. The first in the series: The Manchurian Candidate, 2004 version starring Denzel Washington and Meryl Streep. First Waco is offering the movie stream on Thursday, April 8, at 7:00 pm; and the discussion will take place on Sunday, April 11, at 2:00 pm. Watch for the emailed zoom links to both of those events when you sign up to participate.

Volunteers Needed at Methodist West Hospital for Vaccines
Volunteers are needed more than ever to help in the vaccine center at Houston Methodist West Hospital, as vaccine appointments are increasing. There is a program for episodic volunteers, which means you or your family member or friend will be able to volunteer for 1 day or more if you are able to. This is ONLY for the vaccine center. Please send your email address to Tere Jackson to volunteer or find out more about it. Thank you to our Covenant volunteers who have already volunteered!
KCM Volunteer Update
Katy Christian Ministries is always in need of volunteers. To see what their current needs are, please check out their April Newsletter.
Thank You for your Offerings!
We want to express our gratitude to all those who are sending their offerings, either by mail to Covenant's PO Box (PO Box 840485, Houston, TX 77284) or by electronic means. Your gifts are helping us through this pandemic until we can meet again!
